Farewell to November

Today is my last day to post in Novmber of 2009!

Wrapping it Up

Finally!  My project is alomst done.  I have a few more things to do n my display board, but other than that I am good to go.  I am sooo looking forward to Tuesday night! (Mostly to get it over with =D)  I am really, really pumped.  Wish me luck! xoxo

Sammy Day

Me and my bro, Sammy, have had an extra horrible awesome day.  For some reason, I woke up - in a good mood.  And I offered Sammy I would do whatever he wanted all day - I called it "Sammy Day".  I guess I stayed up a little too late last night....I though that maybe it would be cool to see life from a little one's perspective.  Boy, was I wrong.  We played outside for what seemed liked 2 hours - rolling in grass, blowing bubbles, having meltdowns over me using his favorite color of chalk.  All in all it was pretty exhasuting.  Then we had to take baths because we were covered head to toe in dirt.  I already took a shower this morning!  Ugghhh.

Thanksgiving

Today is Thanksgiving! I am going to load up on mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls, and best of all - turkey! For this post I am going to list things I am very, very thankful for :

- NICE LIVING and food on my table

- BEING FREE living in a free country

Wii Fit

Have any of you used the oh-so-wonderful Wii Fit?  It is terrific! Although we bought it over a year ago, I have just discovered the qualities of the Wii =)  I am not doing it to lose weight, of course, but the games are really fun and healthy! (Nice way to squeeze in those 60 minutes of exercise)
It may be a bit expensive, but it is WORTH IT.  It is a great way for you and your fam to get fit & healthy!    My suggestion : Get a Wii Fit!  =D

Thanksgiving Break

Today is Tuesday Friday!  Our school is out for the rest of the week, so when I would be learning math problems, I am going to be eating one unlucky turkey!  Yummmmm!  Today for our reading groups our group watched HOOT because that is the book we read.  It was really good, but - in my opinion - very different from the book.  Of course, I think the book was better, but the movie was really good too =D  It was a pretty laid back day, though, not much exciting things happened.  Eh, it's Tuesday, whadda ya expect?

Wow, today I feel so alive! La, la, la, boom bum de dum da di. The world is so awesome! Don't you ever feel completely free and amazing....*sigh* It feels absolutely....absolutely....I can't even comprehend how thankful I am for the opportunity to live the life I am living and having the family I have =) Not that I wasn't, but today I have realized the reality of the life and I have also realized I am a verryyy lucky girl. And I am very lucky for having all of you readers, thank you guys

Twilight

The obsession over Twilight is bad enough, but they have one more person group to add to their fans. I LOVE Twilight! I started reading the book about a hour ago, even though I bought it a little over a year ago. Back then, I didn't really understand the concept of the book and the vocabulary was too complex for my little brain to handle =D But I am already on page 136!
It is sooooo good! I will def not spoil the book, but I will for sure keep you up on my opinion.

This is definitely on my HOT LIST :)

Virus

Okay, so my computer has had a virus for quite a few days now, so I don't blame my parent's for me nagging to use their computer (but posting is so worth it! Right?) and hopefully that computer-fixing dude is gonna be back here soon. Really soon. Because I can't handle any more of this, honestly =) Crossing my fingers....

Thanksgiving Feast

Today at school we had a Thanksgiving feast! (More like an Italian feast, if you ask me =])
We had pizza and spaghetti and Vicky even made latkas (a Jewish food, that is like a deep fried potato pancake. You can put applesauce or sour cream on it and I know that sounds weird now, but it taste REALLY good!). There were a lot of desserts too, like cheesecake and cookies. And to drink we had punch. It was soooo good! But we ate SO much! One of the people even got a tummy ache =( Afterward, I didn't go to Fun Friday - where we get about 45 minutes of extra recess - because I REALLY had to work on my display board for enrichment. I am for sure picking up some glitter for the background this weekend. Wish me luck!

Meatballs...

Mmmmm.....meatballs! Dont'cha just LOVE them? Spaghetti and meatballs, meatball sub, meatball soup (I admit, never heard of that onebefore! =]). So tender, full of flavor. My mommy just took up much time of her day to make some delish balls of meat =D

are just fine by themselves =) I am daydreaiming.....meatballs, meatballs, meatball.s

Display Board

Hey guys! I know I have been talking about enrichment a bunch lately,
but now that I am finally wrapping my project up you won't have to listen
to my obsession over it! =) I am making my display board, and the theme is
going to be winter. Me and my friend Vicky cut out some snowflakes, and I am going
to make it all glittery and put (real) Christmas lights as the border. Right now, I am cutting
some more snowflakes and tomorrow I am going to try to put the glitter on. Then I will print out some information and slogans on my invention and WOO-LA!

Author

You know, I've been thinking. Think about how cool it would be to actually get a book published! I am not sure of what I want to be when I grow up, not an all-time author, but it would be such a great accomplishment to write a book and have it published. So, I am going to be the first 10 year old to ever write a book - and publish it! (I think I am the first...)
I know it is not going to be easy, but I am up for the challenge! I can just see the hardback (or paperback...*sigh*) in my hands...signing autographs....oops, daydreaming. Anyways, my goal is to have a book written by the time I am eleven in January, and start working on getting it published and polishing it up with tips from the editor afterward. Thanks for any and all moral support! :]

Rain, Rain Go Away

Lately, it has been raining a lot here lately!
Um, perfect for my new sunshiniful attitude, huh? I guess it
has been a great excuse to get out the hot chocolate though =)
Can't wait until that rain turns into snow! But our family

will be gone when it REALLY freezes up, and we will be tanning

on the beach in Mexico.....*sigh*. I can't wait! I am couting down the days

until out trip! (And until my birthday. AND New Year's. Did I forget Summer

Vacay? )

Soccer Game

Wow! You would be surprised what the little guy has in him!
This morning, my 5 year old brother played soccer against
what is considered a pretty hard team for the little ones. And
he scored two goals! That is so awesome, because there is so many
people on the team, that you are lucky to even get ONE goal, let alone
two. Not to mention it was at like 7:00 in the morning, so ya gotta
give him credit! Today, our town has two big games so it just
seems like this Saturday is busy, busy, busy. I finished all homework
including my enrichment model! Happy, happy, happy!!!! =D

Friday the 13th

TODAY IS FRIDAY - THE 13TH!

Luckily, nothing bad has happened to me today. Yet. Surprisingly,
some good things have happened today. Since Veteran's Day was on
Wednesday, my grandpa got to come to my school at our Friday Assembly
to be recognized. He even got a paper star with his name on it, which they
hung on the, what I call, "wall" of fame! My mom and I got my enrichment supplies today and my grandpa helped me put my prototype together, but I am going to have to let it dry over night so I can't start painting and gluing yet! We had to build it after Girl scouts though - which wasn't good because we were having a ceremony so it lasted longer than usual. Plus, I went to my first karate class today, and loved it! My parents are even thinking about taking it too! It's expensive, but sooo worth it. Not only am I aiming to someday get a black belt, but it teaches more than
just self defense - it also teaches discipline. My parents think I am a natural =)
I think it is just because I take dance and I am used to controlling my body the way it's told.
My brother has a soccer game tomorrow morning so off to bedy-bye for me!

Enrichment Model

Hi all!
Tomorrow I am going to get my supplies for my enrichment model! My grandpa is going to help me put the wood together, but I am going to do the rest. Our assignment is to create an invention and build a prototype. I would tell you what my invention idea is, but I am hoping to patent someday! =D

Too bad, so sad - hope ya guys understand =)

JA Biztown

Today our class went to JA Biztown! It was so fun! We have been learning
about economy this past quarter of the school year, and how to write checks and fill out deposit tickets. My job was CFO of the Proffesional Office, but out business didn't have a posititon for a CEO so that was what I was considered as. I got to sign papers, do interviews, get my own computer and when we cashed our paycheck we got to buy things! I got a cute ping pong paddle, the JA Biztwon newspaper and a lei. All pretty random! There was all kind of stores there, like Wal*Mart and we got to eat at the Arby's they had! They didn't actually serve meals, we had to bring a sack lnuch, but they made cookies and sold chips and drinks. It was so AWESOME! Vicky didn't have as much fun as me though, because she only got one break (we were supposed to have two. I missed one also, because I had to work through it like her) so she only bought ONE thing. The worst part? When she was working though her break, she later found out that the work she was doing was supposed to be the other boy's work! Poor girl! It was about a hour ride, and we got to stay there the whole day. Although I wanted to be the CEO of Arby's (keep dreamin'), I loved the experience. I would definitely go again! Dont'cha wish you were in 5th garde now? =D

Bad Luck

I am not superstitous or anything, but guess what?
This week it is going to be Friday the 13th! When my mom
was little she said Friday the 13th was meant to bring GOOD luck.
That was then. This is now. So now I am mega freaked out because
on Friday we are having a big math test! Why, oh why, is it going to be THIS Friday?

I Hate Mondays

I hate Mondays. Especially Monday MORNINGS. Talk about bad.
Messy hair, all cranky, and find out you ran out of cereal. Well. There is
Rasin Bran, but you are not eating THAT. Then when you get to school
your teacher is grumpy, too! Obviously she actually decided to EAT the Rasin
Bran so that explains why. You get a D on your test because you were too tired
to even remotley pay attention to the question. The lunch ladies are tired too,
so lunch is a disaster. In other words - I HATE MONDAYS.

Curly Hair

I have been messing with my hair a lot lately! Tomorrow I am going to have curly hair =)
It might require a lot of tossing and turning at night, but beauty isn't easy ha ha =D

Laid Back

Today in clay class I was going to make a little snowmen family -
a mom, a dad, a brother, and a sister. But I didn't have enough time so I just
made a mom and dad =( I was so excited about putting them in our window in our cabin over Christmas so everyone could see the little family! Nope, not a old wooden Abraham Lincoln type cabin. A boat cabin! A SHIP cabin, I should say. You see, we are going on a cruise in December with our good friends from England =) CAN NOT WAIT!!!
But today has been pretty boring and laid back.
I got this really cute package from my bezzie though, and I made
her a cute package too! My mom and I just came back from Walgreens,
coupons courtesy of Hip 2 Save, of course.

mommy's bday

Today is my mom's birthday!
I can not wait to see what my dad got her because he
forgot their anniversary, her birthday, mother's day, valentine's day.
SERIOUSLY, no kidding. So Coral came over just in case he forgot
again and threw a surprise party for her! Vicky and her family even
made a cake for her! So sweet!

Wavy Hair

Tonight I am putting braids in, so when I wake up I can take them out and have
cute, wavy hair =) PLUS, I even laid out my clothes! That doesn't usually work for me though, because in the morning the outfit I choose suddenly

a) doesn't look cute
b) isn't appropriate the weather
c) u want to wear tomorrow

But I'll try! Today is typical, lots of homework yadda yadda yadda.

morning - Woke up, pleasantly surprised. I wasn't grumpy and tired!
I had to double-take the clock before I could actually believe it was 7:00.
At first, I thought I had broken my sleeping in habit. Not a chance. I remembered,
like I posted earlier, that it was daylight savings time. I had all of my homework done,
did my hair, and ate breakfast. Then I found out Vicky was sick. You see, she takes me to school so I would have to ride the bus with my *shudder* little brother. And from there, I was pretty glum. We stood outside until 8:20 (We got out at 7:55.), and that's when I discovered a Cheerio bit in my teeth. This was a total freak out, so I slipped inside and flossed my teeth before my parents would notice. But my brother was yelling "ZOE! ZOE! You will miss the bus!!!" the whole time, just to add to the oh-so-embarrassing moment. I came out, only to find my brother yelling at the bus driver "WAIT! WAIT! DON'T LEAVE MY SISTER!". I caught up just in time, and sat by my old BFF Laci. My brother sat with my friend behind me (poor, poor girl) so I had a nice ride to school. It was chilly out, so I was super glad the bus came to school right in the middle of Walk n' Talk (where we walk with our friends around our walking trail).


afternoon - Had a substitute. Never take advantage of an experienced sub! Me and Hailey were passing notes, and he read our note to the whole class. Luckily, it was just a typical "Hi. What's up? Nothing much. Same" kind of note. Had O-K-A-Y lunch and then was bored out of my mind from all the homework we got. I don't think this quote "the more, the merrier!" applies in this.


evening - Practiced my overhand volleyball serve. Did some dancing. Read. Cleaned part of room. Cleaned more. Also known as procrastinating over homework. Excuse me, while I go and procrastinate some more!

Daylight Savings Time

Today is...daylight savings time! And the best part? FALL daylight savings time!
So instead of losing an hour, we gain an hour. Which means when I wake up at 6:30 in the morning it will feel like 7:30 in the morning! But, unfortunately, your body gets used ot it and before you know it 6:30 feels like 6:30...*sigh*. But who cares?! BECAUSE IT IS DAYLIGHT
SAVINGS TIME!

I knew not adjusting the time on my clock would pay off someday...
because why? It is daylight savings time! So now the time on my clock is correct!
SO I DON'T HAVE TO FIX IT! YAY!!! =D =D =D =D =D =D =D
